The Giant Cyclops has a melee attack where he swings a club, and no ranged attack.
The Giant Cyclops is relatively slow moving allowing players to run away and avoid confrontation if the wish to. If a player attacks a Giant Cyclops, it will become angry (indicated by the presence of a lighting bolt symbol above it's head) and attack the player back. This attack cannot be interrupted by the player. This makes 'hit and run' tactics a good way of dealing with the Giant, with players running up, attacking, then moving away again to avoid being hit back.
